Description

This oil is an astringent, stimulant, antispasmodic, antiseptic, antirheumatic, carminative, cicatrisant, digestive, diuretic, expectorant, hypertensive, nervine,  and vermifuge.

In aromatherapy, it induces the tightening of gums, muscles, skin and blood vessels, while reducing spasms, eliminating excess gas, as well as promoting quick healing of scars and after-marks. Furthermore, it promotes digestion, increases urination, regulates menstruation, decreases phlegm and coughs, increases blood pressure, and promotes sweating. It is commonly thought to be good for reducing stress on the nervous system and reducing fevers.  As with all essential oils, overdosing can cause convulsions and seizures, and it may cause allergic effect such as skin rashes, swelling of skin, and difficulty breathing.
